End of Days
By Douglas DoNascimento
This song describes the moment of the rapture, when believers are taken up to be with Messiah, leaving the world in despair and darkness, unable to find any of the faithful. It reflects on the tragedy of missed opportunities, as those who did not heed the teachings of the Bible now face the consequences of their choice, realizing too late that the time of grace has passed and Christ has returned. The imagery of empty tombs, darkened skies, and the inability to find a believer emphasizes the finality of the event, urging listeners to hold onto their faith before it is too late.
The Lyrics
The trumpets sounded
And a great uproar was heard
No one can find a believer
For all believers have disappeared
Great darkness hangs over the world
That is found deep in sleep
They didn’t see that Christ has returned
To take His church
The believers went up
Joyful with Messiah to Jerusalem
Tombs open, empty temples
There is no one left (no one left) no one left (no one left)
The Bible was read but not understood
Yeshua has come!
Now it is too late, the time of Grace is gone
Everywhere they look for a believer
Cannot find one
Yeshua came in glory
And the great victory
Now complete is done
And the strayed
Soon understood
The situation
They are already lost
While the redeemed
Are already in the heavens
And soon after the affliction of those days, the sun will be darkened. The moon will not give its light. The powers of the heavens will be shaken and the stars will fall from the firmament. Then they will see the Son of Man in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Hold-on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown.
The believers went up
Joyful with Christ to Jerusalem
Tombs open, empty temples
There is no one left (No one left)
The Bible was read but not understood
Yeshua has come!
Now it is too late, the time of Grace is gone
Now it is too late, the time of Grace is gone
Now it is too late, the time of Grace is gone (is gone)
