Mr. Goldfish

Mr. Goldfish

By Douglas DoNascimento (feat: Scarlet Theron)

Thinking his world was so big

He had power and people beneath,

Important meetings, and such…

Brand new car and house, but no clue.

His wandering eyes everywhere,

Always seeking opportunities to bear.

Using people and loving things,

Hurting the heart of the true King.

Oh, Mr. Goldfish a woke dreamer,

The last one to discover water.

The success you’ve been searching to find,

Requires of you, a change of mind.

Competitive and sharp…

He sees himself as a shark

But the bubbles are his hint

They rise-up on his fishbowl.

He wants to be first on everything

Always so sure and convincing

Expecting others to be in awe

Mr. Goldfish you’ve got no clue

Oh, Mr. Goldfish a woke dreamer,

The last one to discover water.

The success you’ve been searching to find,

Requires of you, a change of mind.

Competitive and sharp…

He sees himself as a shark

He sees himself as a shark

As a shark…

Competitive and sharp…

He sees himself adjacent to his fishbowl

But once he sees his face on the bowl

The world leaves and the lie he comes to know

Every other fish, were swimming along,

Blindingly unsuspected, something was wrong.

Mr. Goldfish saw the bubbles, he felt wet,

But what it all meant, he couldn’t get.

Oh, Mr. Goldfish a woke dreamer,

The last one to discover water.

The success you’ve been searching to find,

Requires of you, a change of mind.

You were made with a purpose, in HIS watery space,

The ocean is yours, accept your fate.

Let confusion go, and know you belong,

Nobody knew you meant, you couldn’t get (you couldn’t get)

Oh, Mr. Goldfish a woke dreamer,

The last one to discover water.

The success you’ve been searching to find,

Requires of you, a change of mind.

You were made with a purpose, in HIS watery space,

The ocean is yours, accept your fate.

Let confusion go, and know you belong,

The vast ocean of truth is your real home

Mr. Goldfish, accept and understand,

Water is HIS world, right in HIS hands.

Let confusion go, and know you do belong,

The vast ocean of truth is your real real home
